Hello Lovelies!
So for all my curly girls out there, I’m here to give you the scoop on the Denman brush. If you have curly hair, or know about hair tools that work for curly haired women, I’m sure you’ve heard about this brush & all the magical powers it has. I recently purchased one from Sally’s Beauty, so I thought I’d share my thoughts with you.
First off, if you’re having a tough time detangling, I definitely recommend investing in this brush. I do have a shower comb that is wonderful in the shower & does detangle, but I find that when I use the Denman brush my hair lays down more than when I use the shower comb. I begin detangling from tip & work my way up to the root; once I’ve reached there, my brush glides through with ease & my hair lays flat. I will say that although it’s great for detangling, it can be hard on the scalp. I’ve noticed that it’s not as soft as other brushes I’ve used so if you have a heavy hand, be careful not to brush too hard, because your scalp WILL hurt. (Take my word on this one).
Another thing I like about the Denman brush is that it evenly distributes my leave in throughout my hair. In the past, I’ve used brushes that I feel only distribute the product to the top layer of my hair, which doesn’t allow all of your hair to get the same TLC it needs. Once I brush my locks, I promise all of my hair feels like silk since my conditioner is spread throughout the hair from root to tip. I think this is a MAJOR plus of having this brush, because it kills two birds with one stone for you.
Now, once you’ve detanlged, it’s time to see how much hair you’ve lost in that brush! I’m happy to say since using this brush I haven’t seen a lot of hair in my brush, but even when there is, the Denman brush makes it easy for clean up! The top part with the bristles slides right out so you can pull out the hair & runs out any left over product. I LOVE this, because in the past when conditioner gets stuck in the bristles I feel like no matter how much I try, some product is still left behind then redeposited into my hair. Needless to say, clean bristles are no issue when using the Denman brush!
Overall, I’d rate this brush at about an 8.5. I wasn’t exactly thrilled to spend $13 on a hair brush, when the average brush price I’ve paid has been like $4. But, I will say that I got what I paid for & the brush is very useful to me. Would I recommend this brush to a friend? I absolutely would! If you don’t have one in your hair product/tool supply kit, I definitely say try it out!
Thanks for stopping by for this short review!
